ABOUT Story Hui In The Park

Story Hui In The Park
We invite visitors and residents alike to join together and learn about the beautiful Hawaiian Islands through story and food!

Hui is the Hawaiian Word for Gathering, and in this case Party! Gather with us in the beautiful Porter Pavilion Lawn and have an afternoon picnic. Free food prepared by local Chef Amy Fields and sourced from our weekly farmer’s market will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring their own food as well.

From 4:00 – 5:30 PM there will be various children’s activities available from the amazing players of Storybook Theatre of Hawai’i including a 30 foot inflatable tiger shark that children can interact with.

From 5:30 PM – 7:00, guests will gather in the theater in the story circle for the evening’s entertainment. Six amazing story teller’s from Kaua’i and beyond will take turns regaling the audience with stories and Mo’olelo of Hawai’i.
