We’ll be screening two of producer Steve Oster’s favorite episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine – “Trials and Tribble-ations” and “Far Beyond the Stars”. These two episodes are consistently rated amongst the top ten of the 176 episodes in the series.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine was the third of the seven Star Trek series that have been produced since the original series aired in 1966. It is set on a space station at the mouth of a wormhole connecting to the Gamma Quadrant at the far side of the Milky Way galaxy. TV Guide described it as, “the best acted, written, produced and altogether finest Star Trek series.” During its seven season run, the series was nominated for 31 Emmy Awards and won 4.
Special Guest Steve Oster
We are excited to announce that we will be joined by Star Trek Producer Steve Oster for a Q&A session after the screening. Audience members will have an opportunity to talk with Steve about the making of the evening’s two episodes, anecdotes from the rest of the series, and discussing how Deep Space Nine was written with current events in mind and the way that headlines would make their way in the scripts.
