Bringing Community Back to Community Park

At the core of Anaina Hou’s mission is providing a welcoming place for community gathering. To strengthen that mission, we’re refocusing Aloha Fridays to offer campus-wide, low- and no-cost access to programming and facilities—opening more of the Community Park for Community Connection, Learning, and Play.

The Upper Campus will feature rotating weekly programming including Night Golf, Trivia Night, Latin Dance Night, and rotating musical offerings. The Pavilion will host a rotation of events—movie nights, guest DJs, kanikapila and Hawaiian music evenings, and a Hawaiian-made film series paired with mo‘olelo and live music. The goal for the programming is to have the campuses compliment each other for a single evening park wide experience.

Worked into this schedule, once per quarter we’ll highlight our youth music program with a student recital coordinated by the Youth Programs Coordinator, giving young performers a regular stage to share their work with family and neighbors.

Seasonal Lineup & Schedule
