Access to the Wai Koa Loop Trail from Anaina Hou Community Park remains closed at this time. The general public can access the trail via The Kauai North Shore Dog Park

The Wai Koa Loop is a 4.5-mile trail that is wide and mostly flat, and suitable for all ages. Meander through the lush Kilauea Forest and the largest mahogany plantation in North America, and delight in water lilies in season as you pass tranquil lagoons. Listen to the songs of birds or the silence of peaceful stillness, and be awed by the majestic Namahana Mountains that tower in the distance.

The Wai Koa Loop Trail is open to the public from 8am to dusk. Plan on 2-4 hours for the hike. If you're accessing the trail Friday - Sunday, consider stopping by the Anaina Hou Welcome center on your way for some water, sunblock, snacks, or other last-minute trail supplies to take with you.
